(Copyright 2015 T.A. Bleckley - inception date: 1/4/96 )

Take me down to your healing waters,

Lay me back and hold me under

Lift me up and you will see,

There’s another man inside of me

Set a place upon your table

Watch the sky for falling angels

Make a toast to what could be,

There’s another man inside of me

I have wandered in all directions,

Won’t you show me how to get to you

I have always believed in redemption,

Now tell me, do you believe it, too?

Put some faith in fertile ground,

Come the rains and I’ll be ‘round

Say a prayer and plant a seed,

I will become the man you need

Take me down to your healing waters,

Lay me back and hold me under

Lift me up and you will see,

There’s another man inside of me,               There’s another man inside of me,

There’s another man...

2.  Nuthin'

(Copyright 2015 T.A. Bleckley - inception date: 2015 )

If I didn’t have this dull aching pain,

I wouldn’t have nuthin’ at all,

If I ever hit bottom again,

I wouldn’t have too far to fall,

I hate to be the one complainin’,

But, damn, it just keeps on rainin’,

And there’s nuthin’ I can do to change it,

There ain’t nuthin’

If I didn’t feel cheated and hurt,

I wouldn’t feel nuthin’ at all,

If things could get any worse,

I wouldn’t be able to crawl,

I hate to be the one who’s cryin’,

But somethin’ inside me’s dyin’

And there’s no use in denyin’,

There ain’t nuthin’

Give me something I can hold onto,

A ray of hope, a piece of your soul,             If there’s something over that rainbow,

That’s the place where I want to go

If I wasn’t this shell of a man,

I wouldn’t be nuthin’ at all

If I never put down the words

That tell about the rise and the fall

Sometimes I can hardly believe it,

I live it so I don’t have to read it

An’ I wish that I were only dreaming,

Now that’d be something

Give me something I can hold onto,

A ray of hope, a piece of your soul,

If there’s something over that rainbow,

That’s the place where I want to go

3.  Meet Me Again

(Copyright 2015 T.A. Bleckley - inception date 1/26/12)

Meet me, meet me again

Look into my eyes, and remember when

We were wide eyed and curious

Our whole lives in front of us,

Full of dreams and wanderlust,

Things were so much simpler then

Meet me and we can pretend

To be lonely strangers or long lost friends

As you sit across from me

We contemplate the mystery

You stir your coffee while I stare into my tea

Lead Verse / Bridge

Meet me, if you will

I’ve got nowhere to be and have some time to kill

I want to know how you remember me,

Do I creep into your fantasies?

Am I just a distant memory?

Or am I in there still?

Meet me, if you dare

You know that certain place,

Come on and meet me there

Meet me,

Meet me,

Meet me…

4.  What For

(copyright 2015 T.A. Bleckley - inception date:  6/6/14)

I pay my dues and I put in my time

I bring home the bacon, tow the company line

Now is this all there is, ain’t there anything more

I ask myself, “What the hell am I doing this for?”

I staked my claim and I’ve met life’s demands

It makes no sense and I don’t understand

If life’s a game, well, I don’t know the score

So I say, “What’s the point, and what the hell am I doing this for?”

What the hell am I doing, why do I even care?

I’m just spinning my wheels and I’m going nowhere

I knew I loved her right from the start

Time after time I opened my heart

I don’t know why she still won’t walk through the door

Someone please tell me what the hell am I doing this for?

What the hell am I doing, why do I even try?

Every time I go through it I’m left wondering why

(Lead Verse)

What the hell am I doing, why do I even care?

I’m just spinning my wheels and I’m going nowhere

So I play my part, smile and pretend

Act like there might be something good in the end

But no one knows what life has in store

So I just I gotta ask, “What the hell are we doing this for?”

What the hell are we doing this for?

What the hell are we doing this for?

5.  Insomnia / Mirror Mirror

(copyright 2015 T.A. Bleckley - inception date:  1/5/01)

There’s a strange man in the mirror

Where the boy used to be

He seems familiar

But he’s still a mystery

He won’t say where we’re going

But can tell you everywhere I’ve been

His tired eyes are knowing

I can see behind his grin

When days are unforgiving

I can’t avoid his stare

On days that aren’t worth living

I wish he wasn’t there

I wonder what he’s hidden

Kept from the light of day

Lurking so long and deep

That it never goes away

At night I dream like a man possessed

I wake in a panic, heart pounding, out of breath

Time passes quickly,

Lines blur, colors fade

Shadows surround me,

Echoes of the life I’ve made

Like a man on trial,

Each day is another test

When it feels like your soul’s on fire,

There is never any rest

There’s a strange man in the mirror

There’s a strange man in the mirror

There’s a strange man in the mirror

Where the boy used to be

6.    A Place For You

(copyright 2015 T.A. Bleckley - inception date:  10/4/96)

Heard a tap on my window,  but it was only the wind     Got a knock on my door,  but it was just a friend            And I’m sitting here waiting till you come back

Again

I put a light in the window,  to help you find your way

I put a lock on my heart  since you went away

And I’m sitting here waiting, thinking ‘bout what to say

If I could find the words to make you want to stay

If I could only find the words to make you want to stay

And there’s a place for you,

I’ve kept a place for you

Sometimes I look out that window so late at night

I watch the pouring rain beneath that old street light

I’m sitting and wondering,  and every now and then

I close my eyes and see you again

I close my eyes and see you again

And there’s a place for you,

I’ve kept a place for you

Heard a tap on my window,  but it was only the wind

Got a knock on my door,  but it was just a friend             And I’m sitting here waiting till you come back again

So I can open up my heart and let you in

So I can open up my heart and let you in

So I can open up my heart and let you in

7.     Not Blue

(copyright 2015 T.A. Bleckley - inception date:  3/8/00)

Your love was like a drug

I couldn’t get enough

But now that you are gone

The recovery is rough

No matter what you did

Now that we are through

You can do anything you want

‘Cause I’m not blue

I tore you from my heart

I scraped you from my veins

But somewhere deep inside

A craving still remains

‘Cuz now I know

The poison fruit is you

I might feel a lot of things

But not the blues

I rinsed you from my mouth

I washed you from my brain

Trying to wipe the memories

That are driving me insane

(That’s what I did)

That’s what I had to do

I can do almost anything

Cause I’m not blue

I’m not blue

I’m not blue

Not blue

8.    More Than Just Friends

(copyright 1992 T.A. Bleckley - inception date:  1992)

She said, “It’s been a long time, a couple of years,

And it’s about time you got yourself here”

We’d always been close, you know I thought it was clear,

Nothing between us and nothing to fear

So I got out the map and I plotted a course

Jumped in the car and I headed up north

You know we’d always been close, I said it before

This time around there was something more

And round, and round, and round it goes

Where it’s goin’, nobody knows

And round, and round, it never ends

As long as we’re more than just friends

As long as we’re more than just friends

Well, I packed up my toothbrush but I tossed out my rubbers

Who’d ever thought we could ever be lovers

For Christ’s sake we can’t tell our mothers

I guess we’ll just have to keep it under the covers

And round, and round, and round it goes

Where it’s goin’, nobody knows

Round and round, it never ends

As long as we’re more than just friends

As long as we’re more than just friends

We took a step back, wondering, “What have we done?”

“Someone should stop us, but I won’t be the one”

We took a deep breath and we counted to ten,

Looked at each other and we did it again

And round, and round, and round it goes

Where it’s goin’, nobody knows

Round and round, it never ends

As long as we’re more than just friends

As long as we’re more than just friends

And round, and round, and round it goes

Where it’s goin’, nobody knows

Round and round, I guess it depends

As long as we’re more than just friends

As long as we’re more than just friends

As long as we’re more than just friends

As long as we’re more than just friends

9.    Pockets Full Of Rocks

(copyright 2017 T.A. Bleckley - inception:  9/25/14)

Yeah,  what’s the use,

Might as well face the truth

If I had a reason,  or the will

To keep pushin’ that boulder up that @#$%^ hill

Don’t need a lover,  don’t want a friend,

The story’s written,  ‘cept for the end

It’s all over,  there ain’t nuthin’ to see

You can all go home now and just let it be

I can hear the darkness call,

And I’m just standin’ here with my pockets full of rocks,

Waiting for the rain to fall

My heart is empty,

So’s the bed

Dreams of sleep

Are what fill my head

I’ve done my best

For all to see

And all that’s left, well, it just isn’t me

I’ve seen it all go straight to hell

And I’m just sittin’ here with pockets full of rocks,

Waiting for the river to swell

Now don’t you worry

It'll be alright

No fond farewells

or long goodnights

No explanations

No “I told you so’s”

Unanswered questions

Or “I don’t know’s”

After all is said and done

I’m just layin’ here with pockets full of rocks,

Waiting for the flood to come

I’m just layin’ here with pockets full of rocks,

Waiting for the flood to come

10.  Daylight On The Horizon

(copyright 2016 T.A. Bleckley - inception:  2016)

My eyes are getting heavy, the morning’s bearing down

I drove all night to get as far away as I could from my hometown

I don’t care about tomorrow,  an’ I don’t know where I’m bound             But I see daylight on the horizon and I’m gonna get there somehow

For what feels like forever,  I’ve been driving the same way

From the on ramps to the exits,  back and forth each day

You can tell my boss anything you want, it doesn’t matter anyhow

There’s daylight on the horizon, I’m gonna get there somehow

All I know is the winds of change are blowin’

You can’t get lost if you don’t know (just) where you’re goin'

Almost nothing lasts forever,   sometimes love just fades away

You’re just going through the motions and you wonder why you stay

You can curse my name and burn my things, it doesn’t matter anyhow

And you can tell my one and only she’ll be better off now

And I know every road comes to an end

I don’t wanna know what’s coming ‘round the bend

My eyes are getting heavy, the morning’s bearing down

I drove all night to get as far away as I could from my hometown

(Now) I don’t care about tomorrow,  an’ I don’t know where I’m bound

But I see daylight on the horizon and I’m gonna get there somehow

(Cuz) there’s daylight on the horizon, it’s too late to turn back now
